Dazed TV
Tomorrow, DazedTV.com premieres Dazed TV Party, a new and exciting online music and pop culture show that brings to life the innovative and anarchic editorial spirit that has made Dazed & Confused one of the trendsetting magazine brands of the last 20 years. Hosted by Dazed's literary editor Stuart Hammond, and created by Dazed co-founder Jefferson Hack and deputy editor Tim Noakes, the Dazed TV Party will be an ongoing audiovisual experiment produced in association with Warp Films. Paying homage to the lo-fi public broadcasting aesthetic of Glenn O’Brien’s cult 1970s TV Party, the first episode features interviews and exclusive performances from Florence Welch, Jake Chapman, Alice Dellal, Dominic Jones, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Factory Floor, Dave I.D, Marques Toliver and Theo Adams.
Turner Prize nominated artist Mark Titchner has created a series of bespoke graphic idents for the show, and the studio set was built and designed by renowned art director Gary Card. When the show launches, viewers will be in total control of their experience, with the choice of either watching the show as five short 'webisodes', or as a 45-minute continuous broadcast from a secret Soho studio every month on DazedTV.com. As a forum for new ideas, underground music, breathtaking fashion and radical art, Dazed TV Party will be unlike anything else out there and we want you to be a part of it. Let’s party!
Here's a trailer for the first ever Dazed TV Party and be sure to log on to Dazed TV Wednesday, February 23, at 8.30pm UK time for the full TV Party premiere...

Dido on Florence
Hello everyone,
It’s been a month of amazing news for me and now I have some more to share. Me and my husband rohan are expecting a baby and we’re beyond happy and excited about it. So as some of you already know, I won’t be able to travel to LA for the oscars ceremony to perform ‘if I rise’. Obviously I’m really gutted about not being there – going to the oscars has literally been a dream of mine since I was about 9 - but I’m absolutely thrilled that the wonderful florence welch has agreed to step in and sing the song. I can’t wait to hear her sing it as I’m a huge fan of hers and she’ll sound amazing. I will definitely be watching the whole thing live on tv and texting rollo (who is going to be at the ceremony. But not singing... Thankfully... :-)) Also, me and AR are going to be filming a video for ‘if I rise’ next week which I’m really looking forward to.
Love, dxxx

F+TM set to perform at The Oscars
By Marc Malkin
Florence Welch is everywhere—and we love it.
I just got word that the frontwoman of the Grammy-nominated Florence + the Machine is going to be performing at the Academy Awards Feb. 27.
Huh? It's not as if she's nominated for any song.
Here's the deal...
Dido, who is up for an Oscar with her brother Rollo Armstrong and Indian composer A.R. Rahman for the song "If I Rise" from 127 Hours, isn't available on the big night.
Florence will step in for her fellow Brit to belt out the song with Rahman.
It's going to be a busy night for Welch. Later in the evening, Florence + the Machine is slated to perform at Elton John and David Furnish's annual Oscar party benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
See you at the Grammys and the Oscars, Flo!
